The specification included redundancy for all primary components, as well as just about every feature available with today’s technology. A flawless implementation by BGC, assisted by Avaya PSO engineers, saw the projected 72 hour cutover time duration completed in 48 hours. Re-cabling in the very constricted wiring closet for new technology, while keeping the old intact, necessitated careful planning, infrastructure design innovation and detailed execution.
